God's Timing

I love being with people that I can feel myself.  I have the honor of spending the weekend with my dearest friend Leah Rife.  She is married, I love spending time with her because she give me so much amazing advice.  Today and yesterday's Beth Moore Bible study I learned more about Abraham and Isaac as it relates to God provision and love of me.  I love that God is the author of pure romance as it relates to Isaac and Rebekah relationship.  He prepared both of them for each other and they were perfect for each other.   In relates to Abrahams' faith and God's faithfulness in his life, this quote from Beth Moore is perfect:  "The most profound things God promised were often fulfilled against the greatest odds and through the most difficult hardships.  To God, faith is often the point- God does nothing cheaply. Perhaps the divine nature of a a promise fulfilled guarantees its expense."  I love that God timely is always perfect and that he brings people in our life to continue to bring us closer to us.  As we wait on God's promises for our life he is guarding our hearts and continues to gives us hope.   I know that has I wait on his timing in my life, God is preparing me.

God's love!

As I was finishing up my Beth Moore Bible study, I was thinking why do I spend a hour a day in God's word.  What is the point of all the study and reading scripture?  I smile to myself, because I knew the answer, I was happy with it.  I study scripture, I read my Bible  and go to Bible Studies because I want to know more about eternal God.  I desire to be in a close relationship with God.  I want God to write my story and have my life relax him.  This makes me to so happy when I learn something new about God.  I am continually amazing with his unconditional love and faithfulness to us.  God loves people so much that he continues to purse us.  He wants us to be in a relationship with him.  I want to be in a relationship him and bring all my cares and concerns before him.  God loves me so much, this just takes my breath away every time I think about how much God's love me.

God still sees!

Again, I write about the Bible study I am doing by Beth Moore.  Today's lesson was about Hagar and her son Ishmael.  I love this passage because although the story is so sad, it is a perfect of who God is.  Here, a woman and her son are not shown kindness by her mistress and kicked out, but even then God sees her and does not have have pity on them but compassion.  God does not look down on the pair because of where they came from but cares about them and blesses them.  Just like Hagar and Ishmael was apart of God's plan, I am apart of God's plan.  God has set me aside to bless others and to increase his kingdom.  I love that that despite all our mistakes, God still continues to shine his unconditional love on our lives.  God still sees me and wants the best for me, even when I make mistakes.  I want to see others especially people who society looks down on, as God sees them.  I am want to treat people as God wants them to be treated.

Valentine's Day

I love LOVE.  I love feeling loved by others, knowing that they care about you and that you mean something to them.  I think Valentines' day is a great way to express love to others and not just romantically.  One day, I hope and pray very soon, I will be in a relationship with a boy which will be about those romantic gestures to each other.  But I am not in that place today, and that is okay.  I am in a place in which I can love others and love them well.  Today, as a was working with one of my clients I was amaze by the simple fact that I have opportunity to love people well and make them feel special, especially on Valentine's Day.  I love the idea of cheering people up and making them feel special.  I will admit, sometimes I get discouraged in cheering people up when all my efforts still have not brighten a persons' day. but to each is their own.  We all have a choice to love others well and to chose to be joyful despite of what the day events hold.  I pray that everyone feels extra loved today!

Surprises.

God continues to surprise me with his care and compassion on my life.  I was feeling a bit down because most of my college friends are together and see each other and I am stuck in Ohio.  But then a coworker said something nice about me and it brighten my day.  I realize that if I was in Marion or some other place, I would be able to be a blessing to the people I am come in contact with here.  I love the people I work with and enjoy making their day brighter.  I wish I had more time to be in the office then I do now.  Today's bible study was amazing, as ways.  The study focus on God continue intervention and plan for our lives.  God what he doing and what each steps means to our lives.  God does not forget even when we make mistakes but continues to show his faithfulness to us.  I love feeling completely loved by the the Creator God!

Faith.

This section of the Bible study was about Abram waiting on the promise. He waited to hear from God 13 years after Ismael was born.  I hope I don't have to wait 13 years to move to Colorado, that would be hard.  When God finally spoke to him, he fell down on his face, I hope that I fall down and worship God.  That is my prayer, that as I grow closer to God I will improve in my worship to him.  God knew exactly how he was going to make Abram in to a great nation before Abram saw it.  I know that God has something amazing in store for me.  I just keep praying that God will continually be preparing my heart and my mind and my strength for his glory.  I want my life to reflect his glory  When I start getting prideful is when I mess up on displaying God's glory.  I can't take the credit for his works.

Also, the section was on how circumcision is a private thing because God and man.  This act causes man to become a man of God.  I just keep praying for my future husband that God will continue shape him into a man after God.  I want my husband to love God more then I do, so that he can be the spiritually leader of the home.  God has someone great in mind that he is preparing!

Movement.

I love that I can feel and sense that God is moving in my life.  I don't in what ways or if others can see it,  But I can see God changing and moving in my life.  I am a little more slower to anger and a little more kinder.  I love that God is becoming number one and I am becoming number two in life.  Which is how it is suppose to be, anyways.  I love that God is moving and working in my life.

God who sees me!

"He sees when no one else cares to look.  He sees through the smile we wear when we're dying inside.  He sees our hurt when we're mistreated.  He sees us when we cry into our pillow because we feel unloved.  He sees beyond our sin into the depth of our need.  He sees when we're hiding.  Running.  He sees when we continue to sow the seed of His Word even in the floodplain of our grief.  Sometimes we don't realize we've encountered God until our vision clears Maybe that's what seeing His back means.  HE is the God who sees you." - Beth Moore

I love this quote from Beth Moore.  I just finished my lesson today and after wards I just cried. I love the passage in scripture Genesis 16: 13-14.  It is about Hagar and her encounter with God Almighty.  I love it because points so clearly that God cares so much for people and does not want to see us hurt.  God sees me.  When I read this scripture I realize that he knows my thoughts, my desires for Colorado, my dreams for the future.  He knows and yet he loves me anyway.  I love the last part of Beth's statement, sometimes we don't realize we have encountered God until our vision clears.  So often I don't see God's work in my life until after the event has happened.  He is at work and sometimes I don't realize it.  God sees me, I feel so loved by this passage of scripture.

People.

The Beth Moore Bible study focus on God being Most High.  The part of the study I would like to focus on is about Melchizedek, Priest of God who met Abram in the desert after he had rescue Lot.  I think that God brings people into our lives that reminds us of his sovereignty and love.  Living at home and waiting for the next step of moving out has not been easy.  But God has placed people in my life to give me courage and reassurance that he still there.  Theses people are precious friends who have open their homes to me but also have reminded me to have continual joy.

One such person is my dear friend Leah.  I adore her and consider her like an older sister.  I have had the opportunity to visit her and her husband at their home in Indy.  It is such a blessing to feel like a guest and to be treated like royalty went I go visit.

Another such friend is Tanya.  She lives in the same town as me and goes to church with me.  It has been nice to have a friend that I can go to coffee or the movies.  A person to vent to about frustrations or laugh with about silly mishaps.  Although she is not a friend from college, I have learned to cherish her friendship as well.

Round Two.

I have written a blog before but didn't have any direction for it, so I quit the blog.  I am hoping this will take off a lot better.  I finally have direction and purpose for this blog.  It seems that blogs are the popular thing to do and so in a way I would like to conform to society and write my thoughts about God plan for my life.

Colorado

Although I have visited the great state of Colorado, I am most definitely a west coast girl.  I never dreamed I would be moving or planning to move to Colorado.  But I am.  God willing that is.  And that where this blog comes in.  I am planning to move to Colorado by the summer of early fall.  My friend BreAnn has agreed to journey with me there to live.  We started a fast yesterday of fasting and praying during our Friday breakfast.  The purpose of the fast is to get clear direction from God as well as commit our life and plan to him.

Beth Moore

I began a Beth Moore Bible study on Tuesday of this week, The Patriarchs.  Every lesson, I felt it speaking directly to me and my situation of Colorado.  Today lesson was able being separate and how God uses being alone and separate from friends to prepare us for the next step.  I believe that through the journey of living at home for 8 months (so far) after college, God is preparing me.  My prayer for this season of life is to grow in grace, gentleness, patience, love as well as become better equip for the next chapter (hopefully Colorado) of my life.

God is giving me peace, that I have not felt for awhile.  He is making plans straight and open new doors.
